As promised further details on our next chapter meeting Thursday, March 24th 6-8pm, Altitude (320 South 2nd St.)
Altitude has graciously offered to host our next meeting. We will have their side room (the one with pool tables), and of course, food and beer will be aplenty. This should make a great space for future meetings, and will give us a bit of room to grow. Please bring your appetite and thirst as we would like to support Altitude for opening up the space!
We are still working on the details of the meeting agenda so hang tight. Please come prepared to discuss the details of bringing the Fly Fishing Film Tour to Laramie on April 21st -this is in the works! Check out the website at http://www.flyfishingfilmtour.com/
Also, the University Flycasters (student organization) are back! Starting on March 25th (the day after our meeting), the Flycasters will be hosting a casual 5pm “happy hour” of fishing on the greenbelt in Laramie. Every friday at 5pm (starting the 25th) there will be some folks in the parking lot of optimist park available to walk the greenbelt and discuss stream ecology, do some casting, even show folks how to tie on their hook. Casual, fun, educational, and a standing-date so folks don’t feel pressured to attend. All LVTU folks are welcome to attend these fishing “happy hours”!
That’ll do for now. Please let me know if you are interested in presenting at a chapter meeting, or have any ideas regarding what you’d like to see at meetings.
Still not above noodling.
