Topics of discussion for the meeting:
— Fly Fishing Film Tour – We have booked the tour again this year for Friday April 27th in cooperation with the University Flycasters and the Saratoga and Cheyenne chapters and Four Seasons Anglers. The Flycasters will also be conducting their first Symposium of their newly reborn organization on Saturday April 28th. Please come out to hear about the upcoming events and what we are doing to prepare as well as how you can help us to have another successful film tour event and symposium. These events raise funds for all of our TU chapters in SE Wyoming and the Flycasters.
— Chapter nominations and elections – it is time to get our leadership and board positions solidified and filled so the chapter can move forward in 2012. We will hold nominations at the meeting and encourage anyone interested in a board or leadership position to let us know. Our chapter bylaws are posted here:
and just click Chapter Bylaws
It is a great reference to see what sorts of things are available and everything is open!
— Keith Marcott will be talking and presenting on fly fishing and trout in South America. This should be a great talk and put fishing on the minds of everyone with spring just around the corner.
— Conservation and project possibilities to begin coordinating with Wyo Game & Fish.
It should be a good meeting and we hope to see you all there.
Our March meeting date is set in stone for 3/28 and we will have Dave Sweet in town to talk to us and the chapter will conduct elections finalize leadership and board positions.
Other local events: University Flycasters will be meeting on Feb 17th 7pm at Kendall House conference room (Location: 804 Fremont. Laramie WY). I would encourage any other interested TU folks to attend. There will be symposium discussion and film tour discussion.
Please let your friends that are interested in TU or coldwater conservation know about the meeting dates and we look forward to seeing everyone there!
