We had a chilly and blustery Saturday morning when the Cleanup day finally arrived. Our crew were assigned the river greenbelt and with a quick gathering of supplies off we went to work on the river. The cleanup went great and the team gathered quite a bit of trash and debris that has flushed into the river system over the last year. With seven of us working on the corridor we were able to accomplish quite a bit this year including the heroic efforts of the Gosar brothers in attacking the hillside right at the bridge on Snowy Range Rd. Some of the better finds – MONEY! It wasn’t much but I think Pete used it towards his film tour ticket. Oddest find – full body xrays from the local hospital?! How the heck does that end up out there.  It was a great time and everyone enjoyed lunch in Washington Park after finishing up on the river. Thanks to everyone that came out and found time to lend a hand on the citywide cleanup day.
